Critical lifting… This month, it was time for the first tandem lift in Kourou in French Guiana, since Roll-Lift is involved in the installation of the 90 meters high Portique Mobile, with two 350 tons of crawler cranes on site, assembled with a 54 meter main boom and extended with a 66 meter luffer.
The activities started last year, and once completed, the new generation of Ariane rockets will be assembled in this facility before they go to the launching pit and get launched. The lifting of the bridge crane for installation in the Portique Mobile had to be done perfectly horizontally upwards.
